GSC Golf Weekly Awards: Sept. 25

The Gulf South Conference announced its third men’s and women’s golf weekly awards recipients of the 2025-26 season, with performances from September 18-24.
 
GSC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Hannah Nall, Sr., Lee
In her second tournament of the season, Nall claimed a share of first place as she competed in the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational held at the Monticello Golf Course in McCormick, S.C. The senior carded a two-day 54-hole score of 211 (-5) with scores of 69-69-73. Her first two rounds were low-round scores and highlighted by an eagle in the first and a bogey-free performance in the second. Nall finished with nine birdies and led the Lady Flames to their first tournament win of the season.

GSC WOMEN’S GOLF FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Lauren Patterson, Fr., West Florida
Patterson earned her first career top-five finish as she placed third in the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational. In her collegiate debut, the rookie finished one stroke behind the co-leaders as she shot 212 (-4) with scores of 72-72-68. She carded the tournament-low in the third round, while going bogey-free. Patterson finished with nine birdies and helped West Florida take fourth in the team competition.

GSC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Ty Wernyski, So., Delta State
Wernyski won the Dunning Invitational at the Mossy Oak Golf Course, marking his first collegiate tournament win. The sophomore logged 15 birdies as he registered a 54-hole score of 207 nine-under par. Highlighted by nine birdies, Wernyski shot a tournament-low 65 in the third round to climb six spots and secure the victory after carding scores of 68 and 74 in the first two rounds. Delta State finished third in the team competition.

GSC MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Tucker Wick, Lee
Wick garnered his first career top-five finish as he claimed fourth at the Dunning Invitational held at Mossy Oak Golf Course in West Point, Miss. The rookie opened the three-round two-day tournament with a near flawless round while carding a 69, before logging scores of 71 and 73. Wick finished with 11 birdies, helping Lee to its first tournament win of the season. This is his second GSC men’s golf Freshman of the Week award this season.
